Cheddar cheese dip (sauce)

Processed cheese (cheese dip) is a dairy product which, unlike ordinary cheeses, is not made straight from milk. It is made of a combination of different types of cheese (fresh or matured) plus other dairy or non-dairy products. The ingredients are all melted into a smooth, homogenized mix, which is then mixed with emulsifiers, heated, and cut into single slices.

Due to exposure to the heat during production, these singles are hygienically safer than other types. Unlike other sauces which normally contain vegetable oil, this one includes dairy products.

Cheese dip can be used with fries, sandwiches, spaghetti, and macaroni. Also, given its consistency, it can be used as a dip.

Natural, matured cheddar is used to make this product. Use indirect, low heat to melt this cheese.
